Concepts & Prototyping
Know what you need to build but aren’t sure where to start? We work with you to sketch, wireframe, and quickly build prototypes that enable you to test and validate product-market fit or get investment for the next step. Or maybe you’re halfway there and just need someone to work with development partners and get the design over the finish line.
Visual Design
You have a product today that’s almost there or half-baked for release and you just need some pixel magic to help get it over the finish line. Usually this involves working with engineering partners for delivery, building out additional use cases and states, and delivering polished and ready to consume designs. We don’t mind rolling up our sleeves to ensure your product is pixel perfect and ready to put in customer hands.
Building Design Standards
Many clients either have some existing design standards that could use a refresh, or they’re exploring new products and want a scalable system to build from for the future. We’ve jumped into work across the spectrum when it comes to design systems and we love it all. We realize your standards aren’t an academic exercise or theoretical exploration that can take months to complete. They’re a tool to help you build useful, usable, and delightful products faster and with more consistency.
Discovery
You may know your customer or audience but aren’t sure of their needs. Most consultants will sell you ‘research’ that takes months to complete and ends in a spreadsheet of features. We believe the quickest path to identify pain points and needs is interviews and concept testing. We’ll work with your team to target your audience and start building prototypes immediately to test and iterate on. Which is easier— asking a customer what they want, or showing them an option and finding out if they’d use it?
Pitch Decks & Storytelling
You need to make a PowerPoint. Or maybe you already have one but you want to push it further and make sure it’s bomb-proof for the big pitch or presentation to execs. We’ll help you refine your flow, polish your pixels, and deliver a compelling story that no one can ignore.
Workshops
This one is near and dear to our hearts. We love getting in a room with passionate people and helping get a team unstuck, generate tons of new ideas, or build out a plan of attack. We’ve facilitated workshops of all shapes and sizes from half day to week-long sessions. We make sure that what we do together isn’t just a slick game or board full of post-its. It should always lead to true actionable next steps and outcomes for our team.
Evaluation & Testing
Sometimes this is called a “Heuristic Evaluation” and “Usability Testing”. We love to do both and different situations call for each. The end result is a set of recommendations and next steps on how to improve your product. A Heuristic Evaluation is an expert review of an existing product to align with standard usability principles and best practices. Usability Testing can be with an existing or new product design and helps you put real designs in front of real customers to learn what’s working and what breaks and needs improvement.
